About us
Music Arts is a family-run events organisation specialising in Gujarati cultural events. The organisation’s flagship Navratri event attracts within the region of 10,000 people annually.
Event-goers range from toddlers and children to teenagers, university students, working professionals, parents and grandparents. Creating a family friendly environment is at the forefront of the organisation’s agenda and this is reflected in their outreach efforts with local schools, nursing homes and more.
Founder Pravin Majithia is an avid garba player himself and devotes a large part of his time supporting community events. His passion for the festival (and other musical events) dates back to his childhood in Uganda, where his own father used to fund the local Navratri event.
Along with the support of his friends and family he has managed to grow a small event into one of the largest and most popular Navratri events in Leicester, with attendees travelling in from all over the UK to participate, and tickets often being sold out weeks in advance.
